Meditation will become easier as you practice. You will learn more by meditating a half hour a day than two hours once a week. Indeed, your body and mind will learn more easily, learn simpler lessons from every day session. A single session a week would expose you to a lot of preliminary work to find the state you had known in the previous session. The emotional charge would be very strong and too often. Between sessions, forgetfulness would erase much of your progress. Memory will play tricks and push you in a direction you think is good but in fact is totally false. Plus, when you meditate every day, missing a session is not very serious.
